Year 3: Interpret and present data using bar charts, pictograms and tables
Year 3: Solve one-step and two-step questions such as ‘How many more?’ and ‘How many fewer?’ using information presented in scaled bar charts and pictograms and tables
Year 4: Interpret and present discrete data using bar charts and continuous data using line graphs
KS2 Primary Framework:
Year 3: Answer a question by collecting, organising and interpreting data; use tally charts, frequency tables, pictograms and bar charts to represent results and illustrate observations; use ICT to create a simple bar chart
Year 4: Answer a question by identifying what data to collect; organise, present, analyse and interpret the data in tables, diagrams, tally charts, pictograms and bar charts, using ICT where appropriate
Year 5: Interpret a reading that lies between two unnumbered divisions on a scale
Year 6: Construct and interpret frequency tables, bar charts with grouped discrete data, and line graphs; interpret pie charts
