New Maths Curriculum:
Year 2: Recall and use multiplication and division facts for the 2, 5 and 10 multiplication tables, including recognising odd and even numbers
Year 3: Recall and use multiplication and division facts for the 3, 4 and 8 multiplication tables
Year 4: Recall multiplication and division facts for multiplication tables up to 12 × 12
Year 5: Multiply and divide numbers mentally drawing upon known facts
KS2 Primary Framework:
Derive and recall multiplication facts for the 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 10 times–tables and the corresponding division facts; recognise multiples of 2, 5 or 10 up to 1000 (Block A & B)
Use Venn diagrams or Carroll diagrams to sort data and objects using more than one criterion (Block C)
Derive and recall multiplication facts up to 10 × 10, the corresponding division facts and multiples of numbers to 10 up to the tenth multiple (Block A, B, D & E)
Recall quickly multiplication facts up to 10 × 10 and use them to multiply pairs of multiples of 10 and 100; derive quickly corresponding division facts (Block A, B, D & E)
Identify pairs of factors of two-digit whole numbers and find common multiples (e.g. for 6 and 9) (Block A & E)
Recognise that prime numbers have only two factors and identify prime numbers less than 100; find the prime factors of two-digit numbers (Block B)
